Adult Cancer Program Seminar – Dr Nikki Verrills, University of Newcastle
The Lowy Cancer Research Centre is honoured to have Dr Nikki Verrills speak as part of the Adult Cancer Program seminar series.
Dr Verrills leads the Cancer Biology Program at The University of Newcastle with research interests centring on understanding the molecular changes involved in cancer progression and chemotherapy resistance. By using powerful proteomics techniques, including being one of the first in Australia to use difference in-gel electrophoresis (DIGE) technology, she has discovered novel protein alterations that confer chemotherapy resistance in childhood leukaemia.
