Adult Cancer Program Special Seminar – Prof Jim Dickinson (Canada)
The Adult Cancer Program (ACP) is honoured to have Professor Jim Dickinson speak at a special ACP seminar "When should we start and stop cervical screening? Evidence from Canada".
Professor Dickson is Professor, Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary. A graduate of the University of Queensland, Prof Dickinson went to Canada for family practice residency training at McMaster University and a fellowship at McGill University. After completing both he returned to Australia where he earned his PhD on preventive work in general practice. In 2010, he was appointed as a member of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care. His research interests include cervical and lung cancer screening, preventive health care and influenza and vaccination.
