The Lowy Cancer Research Centre Seminar Series is honoured to have Professor Tom Gonda speak at this month's seminar.

Professor Gonda is the Research Leader of Cancer Biology at The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute. Professor Gonda’s major research interest is in identifying and characterising oncogenes involved in major human cancers – particularly leukaemia and breast cancer.

His work has a particular focus on the MYB oncogene, which is a key player in normal haemopoiesis and leukaemia. He has also been extensively involved in work on cytokines and their receptors.
