Cancer Genomics, from Discovery to Patient Care - Prof Andrew Biankin
The Lowy Cancer Research Centre is honoured to have Professor Andrew Biankin speak at the Centre's monthly Seminar Series.
Professor Biankin is the Head of Pancreatic Cancer Research at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. He is a Cancer Institute NSW Fellow and Consultant Surgeon in Pancreatic and Upper Gastrointestinal Oncology. Prof Biankin is also the Chair of the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Network
In addition, Professor Biankin is the co-leader of The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Genome Initiative (APGI) - the Australian project arm of the pancreatic cancer genome initiative. The project is being funded through the NH&MRC, and at $27.5 million, it is the largest single grant the NH&MRC has ever awarded.
