School of Medical Sciences seminar series Dr Tony Cesare, Children’s Medical Research Institute Progressive telomere erosion during replicative ageing eventually results in permanent growth arrest at “replicative senescence”. We have discovered the underlying mechanisms regulating telomere dependent senescence and crisis, which have important implications for cancer treatment.
