Congratulations from the Prince of Wales Clinical School to all of our students who recently graduated.
The Conferring of Awards ceremony was held at the Sir John Clancy Auditorium on Friday December 6th.
We are extremely proud of and wish to extend warm congratulations to Jia (Jenny) Liu who received the University Medal in Medicine. The University Medal is the most distinguished academic award to be bestowed on an undergraduate. It is recognition by the University of outstanding academic achievement at the undergraduate level. The bronze medal carries on its face an engraving of the Arms of the University and on the reverse, within a wreath of laurels, is engraved the name of the recipient.
Dr Jenny Liu started her medical school studies back in 2005 but undertook the unusual pathway of completing a PhD in between her medical degree (after her Honours research year between Phases II and III). She studied at the Prince of Wales Clinical School for both her PhD and Phase III of the BMed MD degree where she gained important clinical and research skills which will equip her well for her future career as a clinician-researcher.
Jenny is working as an intern at RPA in 2014 but hopes to continue with the Prince of Wales Clinical School as a conjoint Associate Lecturer with ongoing research commitment. She aspires to become an oncologist.
